Hal Power – POW Escapee
Hal Power, a Prisoner of War, tells the story of how he escaped by throwing a guard into the river, hiding out in a maternity hospital and finding an American soldier. He gave the soldier information on the whereabouts of German soldiers he had come across during his escape and was taken to the hospital. Hal was transferred to a hospital in England where he was treated for a wide array of things from malnutrition to PTSD among many others.
