Clare Islip – London Evacuations & Bombings

Clare Islip went home for lunch on February 1st before going back to school carrying a backpack with two sets of clothes, some money and some snacks to aide her on her evacuation from London. All school age children were evacuated from fear of air raids and all returned home six weeks later when none happened. They were evacuated again on June 16th.
